Spoltight on Hawes!
Hawes means "pass between the mountains" and it stands between the stunning Buttertubs and Fleet Moss. Hawes is a traditional dales market town with a thriving market every Tuesday. Despite being a small market town the community comes together to ensure that all local services are kept which is not the case in many small rural towns today. The Community Office is home to the Post Office, a bus service, library and most recently a new bank has announced they will be moving here! Home to the world famous Wensleydale cheese it comes as no surprise that Hawes is one of the major honeypot visitor locations in the area. Must see attractions include the nearby Hardraw Force which is the highest single drop waterfall in the country at over 100 feet and of course the Wensleydale Creamery where the cheese makers continue to handcraft this world famous cheese. If you are considering Hawes as a potential location to move to - here is a wonderful property we have on the market. Old Hall, Gayle is a historic Grade II Listed property located just one mile outside Hawes. This property has been sucessfully run as a holiday let, but would make a fabulous family home also. It benefits from a beautiful raised garden at the rear. If you would like a viewing please contact our Leyburn office who will organise this for you.
