7th May 2020 - Rural Payments Agency Update

Following the announcement that the claim deadlines for BPS, CS and ES had been moved to the 15th June 2020. The RPA has now announced that we are able to add land by email until the 4th June 2020 for BPS applications and until the 30th June 2020 for CS applications. The emails must be sent by someone who has authorisation to act on your behalf for either BPS or CS. The subject for the emails must read BPS 2020 add land or CS 2020 add land. All emails should be sent to ruralpayments@defra.gov.uk and should include the SBI, the name of the business, the land parcel reference number and a name and contact number in case of any issues.

The RPA has also announced that RLE1 Forms can be submitted by email. The RLE1 Form should be saved as a PDF and the file name should include your SBI. Sketch maps should also be sent by email as a separate document where you are seeking to change one or more of the land parcels. The file name for sketch maps should be the original land parcel reference and where it’s a new land parcel an estimated land reference should be used. Sketch maps are not required where you wish to remove or transfer a land parcel. The RLE1 Form does not need a written signature and should be signed by typing your name electronically in the signature box. All emails should be sent by someone who has authorisation to act on your behalf and sent to ruralpayments@defra.gov.uk

Email subjects should be set as follows:

  1. Changes to digital maps - put ‘RLE1 Land Change’ and your SBI in the email subject heading.
  2. Entitlement Transfers - put ‘RLE1 Entitlements’ and your SBI in the email subject heading.
  3. Entitlement Transfers and Changes to digital maps - put ‘RLE1 Entitlements/Land Change’ and your SBI in the email subject heading.

The deadline for transferring entitlements still remains as the 15th May 2020.
